my fuzzer book! [29 Sep 2005|12:03am]

bamboleo
I just FOUND my fuzzerbook... I had worked a lot on it and then misplaced it, and because its small and unusual looking it just fit right between some papers and went incognito for quite some time. haha!

So from my last post, the order will be trademybike then faithful_summer...I don't know if you wanted to add to it gracefulshrimp or if you were just commenting hehe! Anyone else want to join in?

I just need to make a little instructional page for the front and then it will be on its way! :) have a great day everybody.

Got my book back from bamboleo today and it looks AWESOME! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made entries in there. It's too bad more people couldn't get their books going around.

Hey all - was wondering what ever happened with this community... looks like everyone just kind of fizzled out of it.

Also wanted to know the status of my book...

Thanks.

There have been a lot of inquiries lately about where the current fuzzerbooks are. Currently, from what I can gather, trademybike's book is in the hands of foreverandaday. foreverandaday, please update us on the status of this book. If you don't have time to work on it now, you need to just send it along. This is how books end up not getting returned to owners. If you have already sent it along to someone else, please update us and let us know where it is.

As far as I can tell, no other books have been sent out, though I believe other people are still working on them. Chances are, we've all just gotten busy and distracted. Now that most schools are getting out for the summer, hopefully we can get the community active again. :)

Question: I was wondering what people are doing to these lovely fuzzerbooks?
Decoupage? Scrapbooking?
Does anyone have any pictures because I want to start to send out my book but while crafting my first page I thought 'wait---what is everyone else doing?'

Oh, I tried to post this the other day, but stupid LiveJournal was down. I finished my part in trademybike's fuzzerbook the other day, and will be sending it on to gracefulshrimp tomorrow!

I finished my part of trademybike's book today! I think it looks pretty awesome, especially for my first scrapbooking endeavor.

I have to ask, though: where on earth did you get that hedgehog stamp? I've been looking for one and haven't come across any at all. So much hedgehog crafty stuff is waaaay too cheesy.

I'll pass the fuzzerbook on to faithful_summer when she gets back in town later this week. :)

trademybike, I gave your fuzzerbook to anacoluthon tonight. I was going to finish it this week to pass on to her before I went to Seattle, but right now I simply can't sit down and cut up pictures of Miss Pea and write about her. I'd like to write a nice memorial for her and not just cry all over your book, so I'm going to add my pages when I get back from my trip, and will let anacoluthon go ahead and add hers now.

Rest in Peace, Miss Pea. :(

My photo prints from Ofoto came in today! I just started working on my fuzzerbook and trademybike's fuzzerbook. :) I'll probably finish up this weekend and get them on the road. I think anacoluthon is next for trademybike's, and I don't yet have a list for mine!

So.... who wants to get my fuzzerbook? :)

Tools for your fuzzerbook [12 Dec 2004|02:19pm]

faithful_summer
Another photo service! I was just trying to order prints from Walmart, but their interface was sucking for uploading a large number of prints at once (and their free software wouldn't work). So... I found this:

http://www.amazon.ofoto.com/

Amazon.com offers a photo service much like Walmart, and the photos are delivered right to your door. Plus they deliver in two days or less. They have nifty photo software that allows you to upload many photos all at once right from your desktop and even lets you edit if you don't have photo editing software. I give it two thumbs up. Those of you who want to order photos for your fuzzerbooks may want to consider using it.

Alrighty... so I've finished my entry and decoration of my fuzzer book and will be sending it to faithful_summer. Next on the list will be anacoluthon and gracefulshrimp. Anyone else want to be added to the list? Just comment and I'll make sure the person before you knows where it's being sent.

faithful_summer, I'll be sending the book out to you tomorrow (I'd post after I send it, but I won't have internet access until Saturday night when I get home, so now is just a good of a time), it'll be shipping from Seattle and should get to you relatively quickly. From there, if you could please send it to anacoluthon. As for me receiving books, I'd definitely like to be on everyone's list, but when people start to finish their books up to send out, no one send to me at first - I won't be in a receiving mail situation since the address I gave is a school one and the address I'll be at for the next two weeks is different. So yeah, I'll let everyone know when I'm back at the school address so the fuzzerbooks can make their way to me eventually.

Hope everyone has a great Holiday season!

my fuzzerbook update [08 Dec 2004|04:44pm]

[ mood | nostalgic ]

Okay, okay, I'm getting a little ahead of myself (considering I still need to write *my* entry, but the rest is done), but, I've got a fuzzerbook ready for mailing. I think I'm gonna have it a mostly "whatever you want" type book, pictures would be great to have, as I'd love to have a book filled with everyone's fuzzers since they're all so darling! I'll have a little guideline at the front of the book and blah blah blah... who'd be interested in receiving mine?? Let me know!

Mod Post [07 Dec 2004|09:24am]

Hey guys, first, I just want to remind everyone to please make their address entries friends-only so no one outside the community can gank your address. ;) I promise I'm not just trying to pick on you, neverbreathe, I just don't want anyone having any problems with it. (I did try to edit your entry myself, but it wouldn't let me.)

And the real reason for this post:

Notebook Ideas

I stopped by AC Moore last night to pick up some things to get started on my notebook. It can be as simple or fancy as you want-- just photos and text, or photos, stickers and all kinds of fun stuff. Just remember to buy a lightweight notebook that's small enough to fit in a standard 8.5" x 11" envelope. A spiral journal-type thing like you can get at a bookstore works great for this.

Some things you may want to consider getting to get started:

--colored pens or markers
--stickers
--stamps (Craft stores have stamps with almost any picture/word imaginable, and various colors of ink.)
--scissors for making unique edges (like these)
--a scrapbooking glue pen (When I made a notebook before, I used glue stick but found that it was hard to keep it in a small area, and the pages would end up sticking together. A glue pen allows you to be more precise, and looks better than tape.)
--colored paper (Good for placing behind a photo like a frame.)

Stock up on supplies now so you won't have to worry about buying new stuff whenever you get a notebook to add to. Also, if you don't want to cut up photos to paste into books, consider getting some glossy photo paper from an office supply store to print your photos on. If you use a digital camera, you can order prints of your digital photos very cheap from the Walmart.com photo center. Just upload the photos, select how many prints you want, and select the store you want to pick them up at.

I think that's it for now. If anyone has any ideas to add to this list, please mention them in a reply to this post!
